BR End of Steam 50th Anniversary

English Electric Class 5 'Deltic' No. 55 021 'Argyll & Sutherland Highlander' in BR Blue - circa 1978. The locomotive was built by English Electric in 1962 and was named in 1973 at a ceremony in Stirling. It was withdrawn from service in December 1981 and although scrapped in 1982, the No.1 cab end was preserved.
